Şahbudak Bey'in küçük kardeşidir. "1479 da Sultan Mehmet II. nin himayesinde isyan ederek hükümdarlığı Şahbudak Beyden zorla aldı. Şahbudak'ın 1502 de Bayazıt II. nin yardımı ile Alaüddevle Bey'i hükümdarlıktan düşürme teşebbüsü yenilgiyle sonuçlandı. Bu tarihten sonra Alaüddevle Osmanlılarla dostane geçindi. Kızı Ayşe Hatunu Bayazıt II. ile evlendirmişti. Selim I. (Yavuz) Ayşe, Hatunun oğludur. Diğer kızı Beğlü Hatunu isteyen Tebriz Şahı ismail'in bu isteğini yerine getirmiyen Alaüddevle Bey'le Şahın arası açıldı. Dulkadirli ülkesine hücum eden Şah İsmail Alaüddevle Bey'i büyük bir yenilgiye uğrattı ve ondan Diyarbakır ve Harput'u aldı, bir oğlu ile iki torununu esir ve katletti. Etlerini askerlerine meze yaptırdı. Dulkadir hanedanı mezarlarını açtırarak kemiklerini yaktırdı. Şehri harap etti. Trabzon Valisi veliaht Selim (Yavuz), buna tahammül edemiyerek dedesi tarafını tuttu ve Şah ismail üzerine yürüdü ise de, Şahin Bayazıt II. ye müracaatı üzerine geri döndü. Şah İsmail iran'a çekilmiş, Alaüddevle Bozkurt Bey de Dulkadirli tahtında hüküm sürmeğe devam etmiştir. 1515 de Yavuz Sultan Selim Dulkadir hakimiyetine son verdi. Çaldıran seferinde kendisine yardımdan kaçınan dedesi Alaüddevle Bey'i tedip için Yavuz Şehsuvaroğlu Ali Bey'le Sinan Paşayı memur etmişti. Osmanlı Ordusu ile Alaüddevle Göksun'da Turna Dağı mevkiinde şiddetle çarpışır ve Alaüddevle yenilir. (12 Haziran 1515) Başı kesilerek ihtar ve tehdit mahiyetinde Mısır Sultanına gönderilir. Alaüddevlenin ölümü hakkında Besim Atalay şu rivayeti yazar. "Turna Dağında yenilen Alaüddevle askerleriyle beraber Andırın istikametine kaçar, asker açlık ve sefaletten kırılır. Tek başına kalan ihtiyar emir rastladığı bir çobana "Al şu silahı vur öldür beni" der. Çoban, "Seni öldürürsem beni de öldürürler" diye cevap verir. Bunun üzerine yanında taşıdığı bir heybe altını çobana veren Alaüddevle "Bunlar senin olsun, beni şu canımdan kurtar" der. Bunun üzerine çoban kendisini öldürür. Tag :        |
