Halil Bey'in kardeşi ve halefidir. Mısır Sultanı Berukuk'un Suli Bey'i ve Dulkadirli devletini ortadan kaldırmak için tertiplediği iki büyük taarruzu başarıyla defetti ve Mısır Hükümeti Suli Bey'in Emaretini (Emirliğini) mecburen onayladı. Suli Bey hükümranlık ve genişleme davranışlarına devam etti. Bunun üzerine Sultan Berkuk Dulkadirli Halil Bey'in oğlu Muhammet Bey'i Suli Bey aleyhine kışkırttı, onu takviye etti ve bu yolla Suli Beyi yendi. Bu yenilgiden sonra Develi Kalesine çekilen Suli Bey, bu defa doğudan gelen Timurlenk'i Suriye'yi fethe teşvik etti. Bu hareketi, Berkuk'un kendisine hücumla tamamen bozguna uğratmasına sebep oldu. (1395) üç yıl sonra da oğlu Sadaka Bey'in maiyetinden Ali adında biri tarafından geceleyin çadırda eşi ile birlikte hançerlenerek öldürüldü. Mısır tarihçileri Suli Bey'i Haykal ul -Türkmen diye nitelerler. Şecaat ve şöhret sahibi, kendi ülkesinde çok adil, fakat başka memleketler ahalisine karşı garezci, zalim ve gasıp olduğunu kaydederler. Tag :        |
