18. yüzyıl Türk bilginlerindendir. Açık fikirli, zahir ve batın ilimlerinde kudret ve şöhret sahibidir. İlköğretimini Kahramanmaraş'ta tamamladıktan sonra Tefsir-i Tıbyan sahibi Mehmet ve Darande'li Hamza Efendilerden ders alarak ilmini genişletir. Daha sonra Samda Sırrul-Ruh sahibi Nablus'lu Abdülgani Efendiden hadis, tefsir, tasavvuf gibi yüksek ilimler tahsil ederek icazet alır ve Kahramanmaraş'a döner. Bir taraftan müderrislik yaparak talebe yetiştirirken, diğer taraftan pek kıymetli eserlerini yazmaya devam eder. Şöhreti pek yaygın, olan Saçaklı Zade Mehmet Efendi irşad sahası içine aldığı Kilis taraflarına giderken yolda vefat eder, Gaziantep'e medfundur. Bu büyük Din Aliminin, Ulüm-u -Diniye ile ilgili eski yazıyla yazılmış 30'u aşkın eserleri vardır. Tag :        |
