Dulkadir Hükümdarı Şehsuvar Bey'in oğlu ve hanedanın son hükümdarıdır. Yavuz Sultan Selim tarafından amcası Alaüddevle Bey'in yerine bir Osmanlı Valisi gibi iktidara getirilmiştir. Şehzuvarzade Ali bey Beyazıt II. ye iltica etmişti. Yavuz'un Çaldıran seferinde hizmetleriyle temayüz etmiştir. Mısır seferine katılmıştır. Yavuz Sultan Selim zamanında Tokat havalisinde patlak veren meşhur Celâli isyanını (1518 -1519). Bastırmakla şöhret almıştır. Padişah, Ali Bey'i kafi kuvvetlerle isyancılar üzerine gönderir. Ali Bey o havalide muhafız bulunan Ferhat Paşanın yardımına ihtiyaç göstermeden isyanı bastırır ve reislerini öldürür. Bu basan Ferhat Paşanın kıskançlık ve kinini Ali Bey üzerine çekerse de, Yavuz zamanında Ali Bey'e zararı dokunamaz. Hatta Yavuz Sultan Selim, Mısır'ı zaptettiği zaman Mısır Sultanı Tomanbay'ı Ali Bey'e teslim ederek, Şehsuvar Bey'in idam edildiği Babı Zevile'de idam edilmesini sağlamak suretiyle Ali Bey'e babasının intikamını almak fırsatını dahi vermişti. Fakat Yavuz Sultan Selim öldükten sonra, Kanuni Sultan Süleyman zamanında Ferhat Paşanın ikbali pariayınca, Şehsuvar Zade Ali Bey'e karşı beslediği kin ve garez sonuca ulaştı.. Şam'da Canbert Gazali isyanı üzerine Kanuni, Ferhat Paşayı gönderdi. Dulkadir Ali Beyi de görevlendirdi. Ali Bey bunda da basan göstererek muharebeyi kazandı. Canberfi öldürüp, başını istanbul'a gönderdi. Ferhat Paşanın kin ve kıskançlığı büsbütün kabarmıştı, istanbul'a dönüşte Padişaha Ali Bey'in istiklal hevesinde olduğu tezvirini yaparak Kanuninin gazabını onun üzerine çevirdi ve Şehsuvar oğlu Ali Bey iki oğlu ile birlikte Ferhat Paşa tarafından boğdurularak Dulkadirii Hanedanına son verilmiş oldu. (1522). Bundan sonra Dulkadirii eyaleti doğrudan doğruya merkezden gönderilen Valilerle idare olunmaya başlandı ve Dulkadirii hanedanından roloynaya cak başka kimse türemedi. Tag :        |
