Osmanlı sarayına gelin giden üçüncü Dülkadir prensesidir. Dulkadiroğulları hükümdarlarından Süleyman Bey'in güzellikleriyle ün salmış beş kızından en güzelidir. 1450 de ikinci Murat'ın oğlu Veliaht Mehmet (Fatih) ile evlenmiştir. Bu konuda yazılan şu satırları okuyalım: "Sultan Murat II. bu izdivacı, şüphe yok ki, siyasi düşünce ile tensip etmişti. Memleketin hududunu Dulkadiroğulları vasıtasıyla Mısır'a karşı mahfuz bulundurmak istiyordu. İkinci Murat güzelliğiyle ün salmış Sitti Hatun'u almakla, hem siyasi bir menfaat temin etmiş, hem de sarayına iyi bir gelin getirmiş oluyordu. Yapılan düğünün tafsilatı tarihlerde hayli yer tutar.II. Murat evvelce soruşturarak Süleyman Bey'in muvafakatini aldıktan sonra adamlarından Hızır Ağanın karısını Dulkadiroğulları sarayına gönderdi. Bu kadın, beş prensesten en güzeline Osmanlı veliahtı için padişah namına nişan yüzüğü takacaktı. Görücü, Sitti Hatunu seçti, yüzüğü takarak Edimeye döndü. Bir süre sonra Vezir Saruca Paşa ile tekrar Süleyman Bey'in sarayına gelerek gelini aldı, Osmanlı payı tahtına getirdi. Dulkadiroğulları beyliğinin bütün memurları Sitti Hanımı, pek muhteşem olan cihazı ile beraber Bursa'ya kadar teşyi ettiler Orada kadılar, hocalar ve şeyhler ve paşalar gelini karşıladılar. Düğün tam üç ay sürdü. " Sitti Hatun Edirnede yaptırdığı Sultan Camiinde gömülüdür. Tag :        |
